You might not think of a furniture store as the most obvious place for a film festival, but that is exactly what's happening at Design Within Reach during the month of December. There is a catch, though: each film is somehow related to design. The first film, "Visual Acoustics," features the narration of Dustin Hoffman in a documentary celebration of the life of photographer Julius Shulman (Dec. 5). "Objectified," the second installment of a documentary trilogy about our relationship with manufactured objects, is next (Dec. 12). Third up are several episodes from the hit drama "Mad Men," but your eyes should be feasting on the furniture used at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce rather than on the men and women employed there (Dec. 19). The series concludes with several episodes from the show "House," featuring shots offices, conference rooms, and lobbies at Princeton-Plainsboro Hospital (Dec. 26).
