Featured For Theater-GoersMcCarter Theater is going above and beyond in its production of Beth Henley's Pulitzer Prize-winning play "Crimes of the Heart." Beyond the show itself, the theater is hosting a number of after-play "dialogues on drama" based on various aspects of the play. First up after the 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, March 13, is "The Southern Comfort of Crimes of the Heart," a discussion on how Henley carries on the tradition of southern writers. Following the 7:30 performance on Wednesday, March 16, attend a discussion with cast members. The following Sunday, participate in a cross-disciplinary symposium on "Women, Comedy, and the Legacy of Beth Henley," featuring playwright Lisa Kron, New Yorker humor writer Patricia Marx, Princeton University psychology department chair Deborah Prentice, and assistant English professor Tamsen Wolff. If you're planning to stay after the show, you might as well show up early, too: lemonade and treats from the Bent Spoon will be served in the lobby before Saturday and Sunday matinees.
