Did you know that the Princeton Record Exchange, rated one of the best record stores anywhere, is one of more than 700 independently owned record stores in the U.S. that have their very own holiday? This Saturday is the fourth annual National Record Store Day, created to celebrate the unique culture of these stores. On that day, more than 200 limited edition titles will be released including 7" singles from AC/DC, Phish, and Jimi Hendrix, 10" EPs from Springsteen, Mumford & Sons, and the Beach Boys, and 12" EPs/LPs from the Foo Fighters, Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, and many many more. Sales are first-come, first-served, with no advance orders and a limit of two of each title per customer. There will be freebies and promotional giveaways at the store, and even the neighbors are getting in on the fun. Down the street, Nicholas F. Rizzo Fine Arts will have specially priced posters and prints of rock, jazz, and blues icons and concert posters from Thursday through Saturday, April 14 to 16.
