Fourth of July celebrations start early in Princeton, and there are two excellent ways to rev up your patriotic spirit today. Start at Morven, where its newest exhibit, "Stars and Stripes: The Fabric of the American Spirit," which features J. Richard Pierce's collection. Admission to the museum -- itself the former homer of one of America's founding fathers -- is just $6. Spend your evening down at the Washington Road athletic fields, where the Spirit of Princeton presents its 13th annual fireworks show. The grounds open at 7, and the fireworks begin when darkness falls at around 9 p.m. Bring a picnic dinner, but no alcohol or smoking.
